Although the text is not widely circulated in modern times, an interesting document was created in the late 1940s called The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This statement was adopted by the United Nations and contains 30 articles that offer guidelines for those in healthcare jobs on topics such as social and cultural rights and civil and political rights. While the entire document is not an officially ratified treaty, some of its documents have been made important enough to be considered international law. In 1966, two documents in the Declaration were added to the International Bill of Human Rights.
